At Leaning T Ranch & Cattle Co., our equine program extends beyond the ranch-into the arena, the community, and the future of the sport. Through our horses, sponsorships, and rodeo team, we’re building something that represents hard work, grit, and Western tradition.

Founded in 1985, Leaning T Ranch & Cattle Co. is a family-owned and operated ranching business located in the heart of Texas. We are dedicated to providing high-quality beef products while being stewards of the land.

At Leaning T Ranch & Cattle Co., we raise only the finest Black Angus cattle, ensuring that our beef is always tender, juicy, and flavorful. Our cattle are free-range and grass-fed, resulting in a healthier and more sustainable product.

At Leaning T Ranch & Cattle Co., we believe in treating our animals with respect and care, while also being responsible stewards of the land. We are dedicated to providing our customers with the highest quality products while upholding our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.

Whiskey is a 5-year-old AQHA mare standing 14.2 hands, known for her reliability and easygoing nature. She has solid ranch experience, including cattle work and roping, and is suitable for most riders. Her laid-back disposition makes her ideal for ranch classes and everyday riding, though she is not suited for speed events.

"Koda"

Koda is an AQHA mare standing 15.1–15.2 hands with natural speed and athletic ability. She has been introduced to cattle and roping and shows strong potential in working cow horse and performance events. Best suited for an intermediate to advanced rider, she is still developing but has a lot to offer.

Gus is a 5-year-old APHA Western Pleasure gelding with proven show-ring success. He has earned multiple blue ribbons and was recognized in Indiana state standings in 2025 under the name Kissing My Sweet Asset Goodbye. Gus is a broke, consistent horse best suited for riders who understand leg pressure and want a dependable pleasure partner.

We will soon be offering three mini mares, all broke to ride Western and perfectly sized for kids. These mares will be suitable for beginner youth riders and are a great introduction to horsemanship in a safe, fun way. They will also be available as part of our sponsorship program for those interested in youth-focused opportunities.

     Designed for young riders during key developmental years, Little Wranglers builds confidence, coordination, and comfort around horses using gentle mini horses. Lessons focus on basic horsemanship, balance, and early responsibility in a safe, positive environment.

    Young Guns is for riders ready to build real skill and independence. Lessons focus on horsemanship, control, and consistency, both in the arena and through practical experience, with opportunities to progress toward more advanced riding and rodeo involvement.

Open Riders offers a supportive, no-pressure environment for adults to learn or return to riding. Lessons focus on confidence, control, and practical horsemanship, tailored to each rider’s goals and experience level.
